Can you hold both the electrical and the data scope on one contract?
Yes. That is how we prefer to work. Power, lighting, distribution, structured cabling and fibre are delivered by the same team under one contract, so there is no gap between the electrical and communications packages and no argument over who owns commissioning.
What licences and documentation can you provide before award?
We hold QLD electrical contractor licence 88746 (ABN 76 649 440 746) and carry insurance. The capability statement is on the site at /capability-statement, with an ungated PDF for tender folders. Ahead of award we can also supply licence and insurance details, and SWMS for the proposed scope, so prequalification is not held up.
Can you come in at design stage rather than just installing to someone else’s drawings?
Yes. Design and construct is a core capability. We provide design input, constructability review and load or capacity advice before the drawings are locked, which is usually where the avoidable cost sits on an electrical package.
Can you work on an occupied or operating site without shutting it down?
Yes. We plan access, isolations and sequencing around the people already using the site, and stage works outside trading hours or into agreed shutdown windows where continuity matters. Occupied facilities such as aged care, schools, storage, retail and industrial sites are normal work for us.
How do you price a project: from drawings or a site visit?
Either. Most commercial work can be priced from drawings and a scope of works, and we state assumptions and exclusions in the submission. For fault finding, existing-site upgrades or anything unclear on paper, we will do a site visit before pricing rather than pad the number.
How far do you travel for project work?
We are based at Forest Glen on the Sunshine Coast and work Queensland-wide. Routine work covers the Sunshine Coast and South East Queensland; for the right package we mobilise further — Brisbane, Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns. Recent work includes Redland Bay and a self-storage facility at Yeppoon.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance programs for facilities?
Yes. Coast Asset Care is planned, preventative and performance focused — a right-sized maintenance strategy after handover, plus priority response for existing clients. You get written findings on what was checked, what was fixed and what needs a decision.
How quickly can you respond to an urgent electrical fault?
Urgent faults including power loss, tripping protection, burning smells, unsafe wiring or storm damage get priority scheduling, with after-hours attendance by arrangement. Call the mobile and you will get the earliest available attendance plus the safety steps to take in the meantime.
Do you handle switchboard upgrades and capacity expansions?
Yes. Mains and submains upgrades, switchboard replacements, metering coordination and capacity expansion for growing sites, including the underground services and civil coordination those upgrades usually pull in.
